Paul Crismond Obituary

Paul "Cris" Crismond, 73, of Ruckersville, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at University of Virginia Medical Center.

Born in Virginia, "Cris" was the son of the late William W. Crismond and Estella Clark Crismond. He was also preceded in death by his siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sada; one daughter, Denise Shifflett and her husband, Jake, of Lynchburg; two sons, Stephen P. Boyajian and his wife, Lisa, of Fullerton, Calif., and Robert A. Boyajian of Waynesboro, Va.; three sisters, Lois Hayes of Milford, Va., Gloria Quarles and her husband, Louis, of Ruther Glen, Va., and Barbara Terry and her husband, Art, of Woodford, Va. He was also survived by his beloved cat, Rose.

"Cris" loved his country, and proudly served in the United States Navy, attending U.S. Fleet Sonar School in San Diego, Calif., serving as a radio repairman. He also demonstrated his pride in the United States by working as an engineer with NASA on the first Apollo Space Program.

While space was his first passion, after he left NASA, gardening became his new love, aside, of course, from his wife and family.

A service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at Teague Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Mary McCutchen officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens with the United States Navy providing military honors.

The family will receive friends at noon on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, prior to the service at Teague Funeral Home.

Friends may sign the guest book at teaguefuneralhome.com.

Teague Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dear Sada,

I am sorry for such the late note, it just came to my attention today. I have very good memories of Chris and you always smiling, and him calling me little one. I am truly glad that I met you and him who are such wonderful, smiling people. I will pray for you in this time, and I know with God on your side you are going to be alright. Try to keep your head up, and think of the good times. If there is anything that I can do for you, and your family in this time of loss, let me know. I am sorry to you Sada, and the family.
