Stack, Patrick age 75, retired CPD and Navy Veteran of WWII, beloved husband and best friend of Marge (nee Summers), devoted father of Patrick (Kathleen), Marilyn Stack, Steven (Therese) and Anthony (Melissa), loving grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of five, dearest brother of Mike, Mary Schabold and the late Jim, Tom, Frank, Catherine Stack, Jack and Dave, cherished brother-in-law of Patricia (Marco) D'Amico, Carolyn (Chuck) Phillips and Bernie Volk, also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 35 years with Chicago Police Dept. (Task Force-Canine Division) and member of Fraternal Order of Police, St. Jude Society and American Legion Post #854. Visitation Sunday, 3 to 9 p.m., at The Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 S. Southwest Hwy. (7700W), Palos Hills. Funeral Monday, 10:30 a.m., from the funeral home to Sacred Heart Church for 11:30 a.m., Mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Dear Marge, I recently returned from out of town and was saddened to hear of Pat's death. Pat's knowledge of the police dept., his expertise both as a secretary and a member of the K-9 unit helped me many times. He was truly my go-to-guy when I needed advise in making some diffcult decisions in the unit and I knew I could always depend on him. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
