To the ENTIRE O’Connor family,
It was my privilege and an honor to be present at St. Hilary today for the extraordinary and well-deserved tribute to your Husband, Dad and Grandpa. It was so nice to see the church FULL of people whose lives he touched. I will always remember his beautiful eyes, the way his whole face lit up when he smiled, his Irish accent and of course his address ~ “5644” ROCKS! You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Love,
Lynne

Dear Barbara and Family,
We were very saddened to get the call that Pat had gone to his eternal reward. How many fond memories: early meeting of Pat and Barbara at Susan and Hugh O'Malley's on Grace Street; the St. Pat's Football Club, dances at Fullerton and Halsted, St. Patrick's Day Parades, the many Easter breakfasts, parties and most recently our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Over the years I met many peoplpe who knew of Pat. A few years ago I met a man here in Spring Hill, FL from Tuam, Co. Galway via New York who knew of Pat's boxing history and football ability. The memories are many and wonderful. In the often spoken words of his brother Jim "Up the Kingdom". May Pat rest in the peace of his God! God Bless you all.

Dear Barbara and family,
It is with deep regret and sorrow that I have learned of the recent passing of my old friend Pat. It stimulated recollections of our old schoolboy adventures at St Brendan's School in Killarney, Ireland and our gaelic football experiences on the Kerry Minor team of 1945.I had not seen Pat since the eve of his initial departure to the USA in the late 1940's.We had hoped to get together recently for a chat but never quite made it. My sincerest sympathy to his extended family and friends.

Our thoughts are with you all at this very sad time. Pat was not just a lovely cousin he was witty, kind, thoughtful, fun to be with & so full of great stories. We enjoyed every visit & will particularly miss him at All Ireland time when he enjoyed all the times his beloved Kerry played & won. Pat played football for Kerry in his younger days He had a particular love of his native Kerry & tried to get back here as often as possible. He often recounted his fishing trips in Knopogue. Paddy & Michael fished that same river with the Curran Clan.
He is looking down on us all & enjoying all the stories we are recounting about him. He adored Barbara, his children & the grandchildren. They all brought great happiness into his life and he would always tell us of their achievements. Our daughter Sinead still recounts the fun she had with Pat on the O'Connor Float on St. Patrick's Day in Chicago.
We miss you Pat.

To the O'Connor Family,
May your fond memories of Mr. O'Connor bring you comfort in the time of his passing. (Yep, he will always be Mister O'Connor to us that grew up with Michael, Paddy, Rob, Cathy, and Danny at St. Hilarys). He was a fine Irish gentleman who always greeted friends old and new with his hearty Irish smile, firm handshake, and asking how you and your family were doing. When I was up in Chicago for the St. Hilary reunion last fall, I probably hadn't seen him in over 10 years, and he recognized me immediately and asked me how things were going down in Texas. We had a chance to talk for a while and of course he spoke of how proud he was of all his children (Rob too ;o) and his many grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his involvement in the community, parish, and being the proud patriarch of the O'Connor clan. Celebrate his life and any may any tears of sorrow for his loss become be tears of joy in knowing how he touched so many lives in so many positive ways.

Dear Barbara, Michael & Dawn, and to the rest of the O'Connor family who was so fortunate to have such a unique fellow as Pat in their lives. We met Pat (and Barbara) several years back here in Florida and just so enjoyed his beautiful love of each and every member of his family - he never stumbled over a single name in his proud tales of all the grandchildrens activities as he enjoyed socializing in our condo pool. We missed him in Florida this year and were so saddened to hear of his passing. Bless you all - you are in our hearts and our prayers, as is he ...
