Patricia Delaney Obituary

All of Pat's family and friends know what a wonderful,thoughtful and kind person she was. She just radiated goodness and grace. I'll miss her aways.

Though we only worked together at AMC for a short time, Pat was a wonderful lady. At the time I was a new mother, frazzled with work and home and she was always so calm and patient. Though she had sadness in her life, she always seemed cheerful and kind. I was so sorry to hear of Pat's passing but I hope her friends and family will be consoled knowing that she suffers no more.

I had the pleasure of working with Pat, albeit too brief. When I first started working at AMC, it was Pat who showed me around the office. What struck me more than anything was pat's extreme kindness and thoughtfulness. Pat left soon after I started, but I will always remember her warm heart.

It is with great sadness that I learned of Pat's passing. She was a gift to all who knew her. She always had something kind and supportive to say to all around her, and truly cared so much for others. It is so special and rare to meet someone so thoughtful and loving. She will be missed so much.

Pat was an absolute delight, and a beautiful person. She made my day this year with a perfectly-timed, wonderfully cheery phone call that made me smile for days. I will miss her. My prayers are with you.

To Pat's family, I would like to express my heartfelt sympathies. I was the president of ASPE when she came on board after the move to Chicago from Los Angeles, and she made the move so much more efficient and pleasant. It was indeed a pleasure working with her and she will be greatly missed. May God be with you and bless you.

Aunt Berness is deeply saddened by Patty's passing and wants everyone to know how much she loves you and prays for you in your sorrow. Because she can no longer see, she visualizes people in her heart. When she thinks about Patty

she still imagines the little girl from the old home movies, walking like a wind-up doll in her fancy church clothes. She remembers how fiercely proud her brother, Harry, was of his little girl and how much he always loved her. I believe that she finds some comfort in knowing that they are together again in heaven.

Pat was a wonderful person; I had the opportunity of working with her over the past 10 years. I met her when she was at AEDC. I soon learned what a wonderful person Pat was, both professionally and personally. I enjoyed the time we were able to work together. She has a great reputation in the association industry and will be missed by many. She will remain in our thoughts and prayers.

It was with heartfelt saddness that we learned of Pat's passing. I had the pleasure of working along with Pat on some ASPE functions, and it was a priviledge to have known her and I will never forget her thoughtfulness and kindness.

It's terribly hard to put words to this tragedy. Pat has been dearly loved by the Johnson family and countless others and will be sorely missed. To know Pat was to love her. Being a second mom to me and my brothers and sisters, the loss of her is incredible. She always had kind words to say, encouragement when I had a bad day, laughs to make me feel so much better and an unspoken understanding she had of me that I never experienced before and I'm forever grateful to have known her for most of my life. Her loss has left my heart, my family's and many, many more hearts broken. I will miss her terribly for she was truly one in a million. I take solace in knowing she's in heaven with Michael and will eternally be happy, pain free and looking down on all of us with her priceless, loving smile of complete acceptance, understanding and her wonderful sense of humor. We all love her very much!

My condolences to family and friends on their loss. Mrs. Delaney never failed to be kind to me and was always happy to see me when I would visit John. She will be missed.

We are sorry to see Pat go! We will miss her. Pat was the hardest worker at the office; Whenever there was a problem, she would dive right in and fix it. Be comforted in knowing that she is taking a well deserved rest in Heaven.

It is at times like this that I am reminded how much I miss the days when our entire family lived in the Chicago area, and we got together to celebrate all of life's milestones.

I had the pleasure of knowing Pat while she was working at ASPE. The last time I saw her was at the 2004 meeting in Cleveland. Pat was a person who cared about her job and the people she worked with Pat you will be missed.

Pat has been my mother's best friend for 26 years. She has been like a 2nd mother to myself & brothers and sisters. I am blessed to have been able to say goodbye to her but feel an unbelieveable void in my life. Pat taught us that no matter how tough life can be that with a smile and laughter you can overcome the tough times. I have been very lucky to have such a beautiful person in my life. I will cherish every memory of her and know that she is in a beautiful, happy and healthy place.

I knew Pat my entire life. She was and always will be my second "mom". She taught me so much about how to love unconditionally. We laughed, we cried and we loved each other. I'm so sorry for your loss. Pat was the best friend anyone could have. I worked with her here at American Society of Safety Engineers for several years. I miss her and her friendship.

I started at ASSE 21 years ago and sat directly across from Pat for many years. She was a great person who always had a smile or kind word and she taught me many of the skills I still use today at ASSE when out at meetings, etc. It saddened me to hear of her passing and pray for all of you. In my conversations with her over the years I know how much she waited for her grandchildren and the LOVE they brought to her.
