It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pat Lykouretzos on January 15, 2025, at the age of 89. Pat was born as Panagiota on January 7, 1936, in Messinia, Greece to Panagiotis and Giannoula (nee Karavitis) Alexopoulos. She immigrated to Chicago, Illinois in 1951, and was married to Ted Lykouretzos in 1957. They moved from Chicago to Addison, Illinois in 1973 after their son, John Theodore, was born. Pat was a devout member of the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Elmhurst, Illinois. She and her husband were well known in the community as the owners of the Addison House Restaurant, a local diner that served the community for nearly 40 years. Pat and Ted moved to Holiday, Florida in 1995 where she remained until she died peacefully in her sleep. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Ted Lykouretzos and her three brothers: Spyridon, Lykourgos and Nick Alexopoulos. Survived by her son, John T. Lykouretzos, her daughter-in-law Joella Lykouretzos (nee Foster) and her three grandchildren: Patricia Madeline "Maddie", Theodore John "Teddy", and John Theodore "Jack", Jr. She was the youngest of four siblings, and married into another large, wonderful Greek family of eight siblings. As a result, she leaves behind over 30 nephews and nieces along with their spouses and progeny. Visitation, Sunday, January 19th at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. in Roselle, IL from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church at 893 Church Road in Elmhurst, IL on Monday, January 20th, at 10:30 a.m. Pat's final resting place will be at Elmwood Cemetery at 2905 N.
