Walchirk, Oscar 88, beloved husband of Gitta Fajerstein (nee Horowitz) and the late Eve (nee Crane), loving father of Judith (Michael) Kotzin and Susan Wolowitz, dear Stepfather of Ron (Kayla) Fajerstein, Becky (Michael) Bier and Daniel Fajerstein, cherished grandfather of Daniel Kotzin, Joshua (Dorian Karchmar) Kotzin, Abigail (Matt Hagan) Kotzin , Elana and Brian Wolowitz, Rachel, Ariella and Adina Bier, Brittany, Sasha, Samuel, Jacob and Aviah Fajerstein, proud great grandfather of Violet, Mira, Jonas, Penelope, Talia and Niv, dear brother of Irving (the late Gloria) Walchirk, Victor (Jane) Walchirk, the late Betty (Jack) Stillerman and the late Florence (Benjamin) Kessler, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Treasured by his life long friends. Services Friday, 10 a.m., at Beth Hillel Congregation Bnai Emunah 3220 Big Tree Drive, Wilmette, IL, 60091. Interment Waldheim. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Beth Hillel Congregation Bnai Emunah or Jewish United Fund, 30 South Wells, Chicago, IL, 60606, would be appreciated.
