Norton Turchen Obituary

Turchen, Norton Alvin Resident of Las Vegas, NV formerly of Chicago, IL passed away on May 8, 2018 in Clearwater, FL at the age of 82 years. Norton was born on November 15, 1935 and grew up in Chicago and graduated from Austin High School in 1953. From 1954 to 1957 he was an active member of the Illinois National Guard Reserves. Norton was married to Marilyn in 1956 until she passed in 2000. He spent most of his adult life as a realtor selling homes in and around the suburbs on Chicago. Norty loved fishing, watching spots, attending sporting events, and relaxing with his family. Norty was outgoing, gregarious, he loved interacting with people, always quick with jokes and made friends easily. These qualities enabled him to open his own messenger company when they moved to Las Vegas in 1988. Norty is survived by his only daughter, Wendy (Dan); his grandson, Tyler; his three sisters, Sybil, Elaine (Sol), and Jackie (Ron). He will also be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law, Harriet (Michael) and Roberta. In response to his wishes he will be cremated and there isn't going to be any memorial services.
