Norma Haddleton Obituary

Haddleton, Norma Elizabeth age 93, passed away October 23, 2005, joining her beloved sisters Bea, Dorothy, Mary, Ruth and baby Olga, daughter of the late Walter J. Haddleton and Marie Sand, Norma was a highly respected educator dedicated to her work with children as teacher and later principal in the Chicago Public School System. Beloved by her nieces and nephews, Carol Lasseter, Karl Lasseter (Peggy), Harry Barnes (Brenda), Judith Traverso and the late Randy Muhleman, as well as many great-nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She loved her work and her church where she excelled in many roles. Memorial service will be held Sunday, November 6, 1 p.m. at All Saints' Episcopal Church, 4550 N. Hermitage Ave., Chicago. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated for the Alzheimer's Association or Doctors Without Borders. For info: Drake & Son Funeral Home, 773-561-6874.

Miss Haddleton was my eight grade teacher at Peirce School. What a great lady. We had a 50 year 1945 class reunion in 1995. She attended and what great memories she brought back. She will be missed by many.
