I'm shocked and deeply saddened to come across this while searching for the family. I used to nanny for Elizabeth and helped out when Brian was born. Norine & Jeff always made me feel like an important part of their family and I've been missing them all ever since having to leave them. Norine taught me so much about being a great parent and person. Those lessons have been priceless.

My thoughts and heart will always be with you all. Thank you for being such great parents & role models.

Dear Williamson Family,

I am so saddened to learn of your loss. Although I only met Norine at parent-teacher conferences, it was clear how proud she and Mr. Williamson were of Brian and James. Her kindness and wisdom lives well in her sons. I hope that your faith will bring healing and comfort in the days ahead. Your family is in my prayers.

Norine had the special gift of seeing the special gifts in others...long before they themselves knew what seeds of talent lie within them. Elizabeth, Brian and James: please know that this is especially true of the magic, strength, and resilience she saw in each one of you. I have never met a mother with such pride and love for her children. I will always miss your mother: her thoughtfulness, her wisdom and her grace. Jeff, my heart breaks for you and the kids. Please know, Norine was dearly loved.

I've known Norine since kindergarten. In high school we dented her mother's car and, lamenting over how much trouble we were going to be in, we slammed our hands down on the hood - and the dent popped out! Nor was adventurous and talked me into going to California the Summer after high school. We slept in the back of a small camper truck; Norine had the idea to grow alfalfa sprouts so we could eat alfalfa & peanut butter sandwiches to save money. We visited Yosemite, rafted down a river and hung out in San Francisco. Norine was always planning the next adventure. She was incredibly smart, curious and compassionate. As we got older we saw each other less; but, in the last few years we made an effort to meet for the occasional lunch. Norine spoke about her family with such pride and love. I know how much she wanted to see her children's futures unfold and how dedicated she was to doing her best to make them happy. Jeff, Elizabeth, Brian & James, you have my deepest sympathies on your profound loss. Norine will be carried in my heart forever.

I am heartbroken for the loss of this beautiful wife, mother and friend. I have enjoyed many years of long conversations over the phone regarding children, life and of course the challenges of being an icu nurse, a passion which we both shared. Her premature loss will be felt especially by her devoted husband and loving children, and we may never know of all the lives she touched as a caring parent and nurse. I will always remember the day norine showed up at my daughter's apartment with her three kids in tow to welcome her to northwestern. I am honored to have known her and have grown from her friendship. Noine, , you will always be in my heart. To Jeff, elizabeth, brian, and James, I share in your grief and extend my deepest sympathy.

Norine and I were so close while we were growing up. We had drifted apart over the years, but a few years ago we reconnected on the phone. We kept promising to get together, but it never happened. Now it's too late. I wish we hadn't put this off. Now our chance is gone. I have comfort knowing we will meet again in heaven. I never had the opportunity to meet Jeff and her children, but she told me all about them. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

Dear Williamson family,

We were deeply saddened to hear about Norine this morning. Our sons went to St. Joseph School together and I have many fond memories talking to her especially about her children. She was very proud of all of them, not only for working so hard in school and facing challenges head on but also for the many good moral decisions they made.

We will be praying for of all of you and hope you can find comfort in knowing how much she loved all of you.

With love,
Frank, Martha and Joe Buzzi
