It is hard to believe that a year has passed since Norm left for a better place. I pray that he watches over his grandson, Joe USMC and Joe comes back safe and sound. Love and prayers to all the family, Marylyn Ahlfeld

Dear Cathy and family, I was sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I'm glad I got to see him at my Auntie Mary's b-day. He will be missed, but good to know he's home with your mom.

To Norm's children and grandchildren, I wish to express my sincere sympathy for the loss of your father and grandfather. I will miss seeing his forwarded emails. I once sent him one, saying "Is this you Norm?" and it was. Norm was always cheerful but we all know how much he missed your mom. You all can be proud of his long and fine Chicago Police career. God bless you all. Sincerely, Marylyn Ahlfeld

I had the privilege and pleasure of knowing Norm (and Mary) Handley through St. Henry's Church. Norm was a natural at telling stories about Chicago, and he was a true gentleman. You will be missed!
