Gellis, Nick K. Age 81, at rest April 7, 2017; from Louka, Tripoli, Greece and immigrated to Chicago in 1952. Beloved husband of Betty (nee Stamos); loving father of Dean (Susan) Gellis, Angelo Gellis, George Gellis, Mary Gellis, and the late baby George; cherished grandfather of Panagiota (David) Michalec, Nicholas, Christopher, Dimitri, Nicholas E., Samantha, Alexander, Ariana, and Christopher; great-grandfather of Riley, Blake, and Mila; dear brother of Stamatina (late Nick) Bratsos, Vasiliki (Peter) Georgelos, the late George (Joanne) Gellis, late Sophia (late George) Pappas, and the late Georgia (Bill) Les; fond uncle of many. Nick worked in the Grocery Produce Business and Restaurant Business his entire life in Chicago and St. Joseph, MI. Also a lifetime member of AHEPA Woodlawn Chapter #93 and Hellenic Masonic Lodge. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Nicholas Church or American Cancer Society appreciated.
