Nicholas Lavalle Obituary

Dearest Nick, may you rest in peace and thank you for the wonderful memories we shared with you in the 90's. You were kind enough to allow our son, Aaron the chance to meet the Blackhawks at O'Hare and a chance to "shoot the puck" of which he scored. You and your lovely wife will be remembered always. Thank You.

I will always remember, in the mid 90's, assisting Nick with the Blackhawks travel arrangements on Air Canada. Even more important were the many times I was honored to meet with Nick and his lovely wife! We would talk about Cleveland, Ohio and about my son, Aaron who was playing high school hockey at the time. Rest in peace, Dear Nick!

Nick my condolences to you and your family. Your father was a great man. I can still remember you guys picking me up to go to Blackhawks games, win or lose it was always a great time. I also remember the very large navity scenes he designed during Christmas in the basement, we would alway mess around with the 3 wisemen. RIP Mr. Lavalle you can now be with Mrs. LaValle again.

The prayers of the Raineri family are with you Nick. Your father was a great man. He gave my father his first plane ticket back to Italy 3 years after he came to this country, so he could visit his family in Italy. Our memories of the LaValle family are wonderful. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr Lavalle and his wife had influenced me in learning about their Italian culture while growing up in Park Ridge. Now I'm glad that I had a chance to visit Italy and the beautiful cities and taste the delicious italian food. Plus, I was able to practice my italian with the local italians while in Italy. He was a kind , gentle and giving Italian man and treated me like family and always made me feel welcome at his family italian gatherings. He and his son introduced me to the game of ice hockey. To this day, I'm passionate about hockey. He would take me to see Chicago Blackhawks hockey games with his son at the old Chicago Stadium. I will miss practicing my brief italian conversations with him and our neighborly chats at night outside his house. I will miss seeing him the next time I'm in Park Ridge. You will be remembered. RIP Mr. Lavalle.
