Kartinos, Dr. Nicholas J. "Nick" 82, longtime resident of Park Ridge, died October 30th, beloved husband for 57 years to Peg (nee Smith), loving father of Wendy Smoker and Pam (Jeff) Hungerford, proud grandfather of Andrew, Kelley and Mary, fond brother of Beatrice Paulus, Ann Sellas, Jean DeNovo and George Kartinos, uncle of many nieces and nephews. 32 year career with Baxter Travenol Laboratories, retiring as director of research and development of special activities. Memorial visitation Friday, November 7th, from 5 to 9 p.m., at M. J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Hwy., Chicago. Cremation private.
