Nick and Eleanor, where have the years gone? It seems like just yesterday we were dining, laughing and traveling together. You were a gentleman in the true sense of the word. I will always cherish the memory of our friendship.

I volunteered with Nick at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. He was always in a good mood, teasing and laughing. He made it fun. A couple of times he and Eleanor came to Florida and we saw them when they visited. Great guy.

I am so sorry to have missed Nick´s funeral mass on July 21. I was never able to get all of the information about services for Nick, and apparently I wasn´t able to find his obituary in time. I was fortunate enough to have made Nick´s acquaintance playing bridge in Western Springs, IL. I would enjoy bridge so much more when I was at his table and would ask to be placed there if I hadn´t played at his table in a while. Nick was one of the nicest men I ever met because he was kind hearted, compassionate to other people´s problems and had a great sense of humor. As I said earlier, I don´t know how I could have missed hearing about his services and came to think that they were going to be private. I actually just heard tonight about his mass and decided to search the obituaries again so that I could leave a message. On Nick´s last day of bridge in our Monday group, I had finished playing for him because he said he didn´t feel well. He had told me he had some ailments when I shared my husband´s condition, but that all was well. I certainly hoped I´d see him again after that day of bridge when he had to leave early, but so sadly, he was not able to return. Your lovely family has my deepest condolences for this amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and very good man. He was loved by everyone. He was talked about tonight at a bridge dinner and everyone there that knew him expressed the kindest words about him. His presence is sorely missed.

I'm sorry I was unable to attend the services for Nick. He was a dedicated member of the bridge group at the Western Springs Senior Center and was loved by all. He had a wobderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed.

My condolences to the Burriesci clan. Your father was a good man, good friend to my parents and always kind to me. I have fond memories of spending time at your home as a young man. Having lost my father recently, I understand how difficult of a time can be. Mark/Matt, hope you are doing well. Miss you guys!
