Our best wishes to Neal's daughter and family during this difficult time. I worked with Neal at U.S. Bank, and met with Neal on several occasions during the past two years when my family moved to Evanston. I only heard of his passing this week, and am so glad for this guest book to pass along our sincere condolences.

To Neal's parents and daughter,
I met Neal in college in 1976-we were in the same class. I remember Neal as a kind, warm, gentle person, very dedicated to his studies and also dedicated to playing basketball. I went with Neal to several of the ZBT outings on the Admiral riverboat, always enjoying his company. I last saw Neal in NYC soon after he moved there, many years ago. My heart goes out to you all. Neal will kept alive through the many memories so many of us have.

It is with sorrow that we send you our condolences. I am Janice Kleifields mother and knew both Neal and Ellen. The girls were good friends and spent a lot of time at our house and many times Neal would drive over to pick up Ellen.
How sad to lose both your children...but you did well by them. Both were VERY SPECIAL people.
To say we understand your loss is impossible, but our heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of you.

I had the honor of working with Neal at Bank One and during that period we developed a friendship. Neal was a wonderful, bright and energetic person with an extremely high code of morals and ethics. First and foremost, though, Neal was dedicated to his family and friends, especially his daughter. He will be sorely missed by all. My heartfelt sympathies go out to his family.

Neal, You taught me how to skip stones in the ocean when our families were on a vacation in Maine, and we had just found out my grandmother had died. You stayed with me for hours on the beach, until I learned how to make the stones skip on the water. You told me I was doing a great job. Thank you, Neal, for the kindness and heart you showed me when I was 7 or 8 years old, when my family was hit with such bad news. Thank you Al and Shirlee for the love and friendship you have always shown my parents. Al, I am your God-son. Shalom aleichem, and aleichem shalom.
