Nancy L. Ptak, age 51, passed away February 21, 2022. She was born September 11, 1970 in Chicago, the cherished daughter of Engert and Linda Bender. Beloved wife of 28 years to Alan; loving mom of Emily; cherished sister of Wendy Bender and Tara (James) Barnard; dear aunt of Tyler, Sam, Julian, Isabel, Michael, Tim (Lisa), Jennifer and Joey; dear niece of Patricia (the late George), Rita (Franz), Eleanor (Cary); dear daughter-in-law of the late Mitchell and the late Rose Ptak; and dear sister-in-law of Linda (Chip), John and Patty. Nancy devoted her life to work and family. She was a manager of grants and contracts for many companies – most recently for Comptia, as their Director and Bursar of Financial Aid. She loved reading, arts & crafts and antiquing. Nancy was a forthright and strong woman, who loved fiercely and gave generously. She will be dearly missed. A visitation will be held from 2 – 7 pm on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Elmhurst Community Funeral Home – THE AHLGRIM CHAPEL, 567 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst. Funeral Prayers 9 a.m. on Monday, February 28 th to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 134 Arthur Street, Elmhurst for 9:30 a.m. Mass.
