PORTER, Nancy (Woodward) Nancy (Woodward) Porter, 85, of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Brayton A. Porter, Jr. died Friday, (April 9, 2004) at a local convalescent home. Born March 18, 1919 in Washington, DC, daughter of the late Raymond and Ernestine (Spiker) Woodward. She lived in West Hartford before moving to Windsor 58 years ago. She was a 1937 graduate from Hall High School, West Hartford and a 1941 graduate from Russell Sage College, Albany, NY. Nancy couldn't resist the taste of chocolate and had a fascination with owls. Nancy also took time to volunteer at the Windsor Public Library. She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Timothy and Rayelle Porter of Windsor, and Jonathan and Jacqueline Porter of South Windsor; a granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Porter of South Windsor. Memorial hours will be Tuesday, April 13 from 4-7 p.m. at the Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.
