Muriel Herrmann Obituary

Herrmann, Muriel Pesa "Penny" (nee Bordon), 88, complications from Alzheimer's. Preceded by the love of her life of more than 70 years, husband Gary (9 weeks earlier); nurturing, loving mother to Ron, Suzi and Glen; adoring, cherished grandmother to Justin; dear friend to many. Penny and Gary met and fell in love at Penny's "Sweet 16" and have been devoted to each other ever since! While Gary served overseas, WWII, Penny studied and became a nurse's aide to help on the homefront. They married in D.C. in 1944, when Gary was home on leave. Raising their children, cherishing their grandson and each other; fundraising for MAMF with dear friends (50 years+) to benefit Children's Memorial Hospital- Chicago; and traveling the world together were among the greatest joys of their lives.
