Mira Dykowski Obituary

Dykowski, Mira V. Was born on March 31, 1945 to Chester and Victoria Laski in Chicago, IL. Mira received her formal education through Chicago Catholic Schools, where she discovered her true creative nature. She honed her artistic abilities at the Art Institute Schools in Chicago. Mira was introduced to her future husband of 47 years as a debutante in the White and Red Ball in Chicago. It was love at first sight, and they were married on February 6, 1965. Mira further explored her artistic side through jobs in floral arrangement, and as a master cake decorator, as well as through volunteer efforts with St. Cajetan's church, and her sons' Cub Scout packs as a den mother. She also developed and pursued a passion of stained glass creations. Later in life, Mira and her husband, Richard, retired in Oconomowoc, WI to be closer to their beloved grandchildren. Mrs. Mira Dykowski departed life on July 2, 2012. She was preceded in life by her loving mother, Victoria Yorita. She leaves to cherish her memory; her adoring husband Richard; her sons, Richard (Michele) Dykowski and Nicholas (Shannon) Dykowski, and her two adored grandchildren, Luke and Maxwell Dykowski, as well as numerous in-laws and friends. Funeral services for Mira will be on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
