Michael Wilkie Obituary

Dear Wilkie Family,

The Rentner Family would like to extend our deepest sympathy for the loss of Michael. I am the youngest and therefore was not lucky enough to grow up with you guys but sure do enjoy the stories. Dad talks about your family often and was so sad to hear this news. Sending much love from our family to yours….

My prayer and condolences to the Wilkie family, especially to Robin, Brady, Amy and Lindsey. Mike was a great person to work with, he was funny and always understanding. I will keep him in my memories forever.

So sad. Will be sorely missed. Brings back a flood of memories when Michael helped me mourn the death of my father at 3:00 in the morning on Lake Shore Drive with his new driver.

It's an Irish custom to read the obituaries and I was saddened to read of Michael. Michael's Grandmother Wilkie and my mother Bernice Trickey were sisters. Michael's Mom, Barbara, was my confirmation sponsor. Although I have lost touch with the family, I wanted to express my sympathy to all the family on their loss.

I am at a loss for words on hearing the news about Mike's passing. My dearest and upmost sympathy goes to you and the rest of the family. Mike was always a kind and respectful person to me both as a friend and as my attorney he will be missed.

I was saddened to hear about the loss of Michael. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. The Wilkies were always one of the greatest families and definately part of my most cherished childhood memories!

My thoughts and prayers go out to Robin, the kids and to the Wilkie family. I was shocked when my sister Liz left a voicemail that Mike had died. I never knew that he was sick. I loved Mike as though he was my 7th brother.
Mike was one of those people who enriches the lives of those fortunate enough to have
known him. I will always remember the wonderful, ever-present Wilkie smile. He made me laugh. I am sorry that I can't be with you in person, but I will be with you in spirit. All my love.

Mike was truly a classic. Warm, funny and always good for a lot of extra laughs. Hew will always have a special place in my heart because he was the only guy I ever told I went to Marquette on a basketball scholorship, who actually believed me.

I considered Mike a roll model and a gentleman. Mike was one of those rare individuals who truly took an interest in what you had to say and always had a thoughtful response. The world is a sadder place without him. Mike had a very positive impression on me growing up and he will remain in my thoughts and prayers. My heartfelt sympathy to the wonderful Wilkie Family.
