Please accept my condolences on the loss of Mike. I met Mike when I joined the Corporation Counsel's office in 1959 after passing the bar exam. Mike was kind and helpful to the young lawyers.
Over the years, I would encounter Mike at political events, in the courthouse, or walking down LaSalle Street. A meeting with Mike was a joyous occasion, marked by warmth and humor.
I shall keep Mike in my prayers.
With Sympathy,
Charles J. O'Connor

Judi, It was with great sadness that I read about the passing of your father. I have such fond memories of him, both as a child bring rye bread to our home and also as a lawyer and a judge in later years. I have a great picture of him when he and my dad were in the corp councel's office. Please accept my sympathy and the condolances of the entire Pope family. Mike Stein is someone I'll never forget. He is the last of a group of unforgettable attorneys of his time. With Sympathy, Michael J. Pope

Just read about the passing of your dad and wanted to offer my condolences. I remember him so well. And I remember so well when your mom passed away.
Please accept my deepest sympathy.
