Spranze, Michael J. age 68 of Vernon Hills formerly of Lake Forest, beloved husband of Mary Virginia (nee Joyce), loving father of Michael Robert (Deanna K.) Spranze and Mary Joyce (John) Warren, devoted grandfather of Lily Kathleen Warren, brother of Barbara Waters, uncle of Kelly Madison. Visitation Wednesday, 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Blvd., at Old Orchard Rd., Skokie. Funeral Mass Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Patrick Church, 991 S. Waukegan Rd., Lake Forest. Interment Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Misericordia, 6300 N. Ridge Ave., Chicago, IL 60660. My husband Leo, our three daughters Kitty, Lisa, Tracy, and I remember Mike as a warm, gracious host even though he barely knew us. I am so impressed with the dedication of my classmate Jinny in caring for first her mother and then her husband. Our prayers are with Jinny, Mary and Michael. Our hope is that they will remember more and more clearly the wonderful times they had together and forget Mike's illness.
We are only sorry that we are so far away. I'm grateful, at least, that my sister got to the wake.

Michael was a very dear friend and co-worker-I will miss him terribly.
He was a very understanding and compassionate gentleman.
