Michael Sheehan Obituary

Sheehan, Michael Francis

Michael F. Sheehan, age 85, of Naples (Pelican Bay), Florida, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on April 1, 2021.

Michael was born September 14, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Michael F. and Anna (nee Lavin) Sheehan. He attended Tilden Tech High School and proudly served his country as a Marine deployed in Korea. Michael enjoyed a successful sales career in New York City which allowed him to travel extensively and pursue his interests including scuba diving and sailing on his boat Dabulamanzi. He was a member of the New York Athletic Club where he enjoyed his favorite sports including tennis, golf, racquetball, and handball. Michael's Catholic faith was important to him. He will be remembered for his wit and larger than life personality.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Maurice P. Sheehan, and his sister Marie A. Smith. He is survived by his brother John J. "Jack" Sheehan, his loving children, grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

A private funeral mass will be held. Family requests memorials be sent to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation.
