73, a lifelong resident of Chicago-Bridgeport neighborhood, passed away peacefully into eternal life on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Devoted son of Catherine "Bern" Sheehan nee Dougherty, and the late John J. Sheehan; loving brother of Patrick (Teresa) Sheehan, Peg (Jim) Griffin, Kevin Sheehan, and Terry (Nancy) Sheehan; beloved uncle of Kevin Griffin, Katie (Tom) Ludwig, Jimmy (Jackie) Griffin, Patrick (Marissa) Griffin, and Tara Sheehan (Tim O'Connell) and great uncle of Ryan, Jack, and Ella Ludwig, and Juliana, Jimmy, and Penelope Griffin; also survived by his beloved and faithful companion, Ruby.
Michael was a dedicated Chicago Firefighter, and served his country proudly in the United States Marines during Vietnam.
Services at McINERNEY CENTRAL CHAPEL, 4635 S. Wallace St., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 9 a.m. until time of chapel prayers at 11:00 a.m. to Nativity of Our Lord Church, 653 W. 37th St., Chicago for a 12:00 Noon Mass of Christian Burial. Cremation following, in accordance with his wishes.
For those attending services, PLEASE NOTE WEARING OF MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED.

Mike~ reading this now the words do not flow easily. You were the love of my Mothers life. You were an amazing Godfather to my daughter and even better Grandfather to my children. Thank you for the positive impact you had on our lives. May you rest in peace.
