Michael Sampson Obituary

Dearest Kathy, Dave and Brian,

Can hardly believe Michael has been gone a month, our hearts still ache for all of you.

Please know that we will always be there for you.

We all miss him so much, he was such a special guy.

Our thoughts, love and prayers are with you always.

Brian, I just heard the news this past weekend. After the initial shock, my first thought was of you. Although I haven't talked to Mike in years, I just rememeber him making me laugh. I can't imagine what you and your family have been feeling these last few weeks.



I pray you remain faithful that family and friends will keep you strong and get you through this. You are in my thoughts.

To the Sampson Family, I am very sorry to hear about Mike. He was a very special person to all and one of the best friends a person could ask for. I consider myself very fortunate to have had the opportunity to live with Mike at Western and to share in all the good times he could bring to people..He will be greatly missed..My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I have cultivated many bonds with many people in this life; men, women, fraternity brothers, Marines, friends and acquaintences... None as true as the bond I shared with Mike. My wife Lucie and I, both, shared many a serious talk which, inevitably turned humorous, with Mike. Lucie and I share your grief in the loss of Mike. As you have lost a son and loved one, we have lost a big brother...

To Mike’s Family

While it has been many years since high school Mike remains fresh in my mind. I spent 4 years with Mike playing football and becoming great friends –from locker-room antics to hard work, and I can’t remember a person who I shared more good times with. Mike was loyal, sincere, compassionate, and had mastered the art of making others laugh with him. While it has been a long time since I saw Mike that certainly is my loss and I will miss him greatly. Sandy’s thoughts and mine are with you.

It's never easy for those left behind, but when you lose someone so senselessly and unexpectedly we all feel the shock. May it help to know how many people share your sorrow and stand with you in your time of need.

I apologize that I can not be there at this time, my thoughts are with you all. Mike was a wonderful individual in every way, and I will cherish the memories of him forever.

To Brian Sampson & the Sampson Family,

I am truly sorry to hear the news about losing Mike. Having been fortunate enough to have known him, both in the fraternity and as a friend, I knew that he had the infectious ability to bring a smile to someone's face or make a whole room laugh. He most certainly will be missed and never forgotten.

We only knew Michael for a short time through Michelle's brother (Scott Selby) and sister (Jeannie Teplitz). Our deepest sympathy is with you during your time of need. We knew Michael as the "class clown" he could always make you laugh and smile. Our prayers are with you and yours.

We were so sorry to hear of the death of Michael and regret not being able to come in to town. He’ll be sorely missed by everyone who knew him, especially because of the way he touched all who new him.

We are all thinking of you - knowing that he was such a special person and how much he’ll be missed. We will be keeping you and Michael in our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers.

My condolences and deepest sympathy goes out to all of your family members. Although I have not seen Michael for many years now, it saddens me to here of his death. It made me think back to when we were kids and the times we shared together at Lake La Donna.
