Age 66, late of Calumet City, IL, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021. Beloved husband of Priscilla Koza (nee Holom). Loving father of Stacey (Mario) Siller, Nicholas Nellemann, Lesley (Zachary) Hansen, Michael (Heather) Koza and Kelly Koza. Proud grandfather of Alex Galarza, Mario Siller, Gianna Siller, Clayton Hansen and Beatrix Koza. Caring brother of Robert Koza, Richard Koza, James (Patti) Koza and John Koza. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents: Walter F. and Irene S. Koza. Michael proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. Chapel Service 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 23, 2021 at Opyt Funeral Home, 13350 S. Baltimore Ave., Chicago, IL 60633. Interment Private. Visitation 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2021.

Mike is my brother-in-law. At times like this, there are no words that can ease the pain everyone is feeling, especially Pris. It's hard to understand why good people are taken from us, but Pris, find comfort in knowing you were a special part of his life. If you need someone to hold you, my arms are open. Joe and I are so sorry for your loss and express our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Let all the good memories guide you during this time of sadness. We love you!
