Doyle, Michael Patrick USMC 1965-1968, Vietnam Veteran, age 60, beloved son of the late Lucille and Charles, loving brother of Byrne (Mary), Chuck (Sue), Terry (Debbie), Matt (Jane), devoted Uncle of 19 nieces and nephews. Greatly missed for his great sense of humor and huge heart by many relatives and friends. Proud member of V.F.W., American Legion, IBEW Local Union 134, Oracle Social Group and many conservation groups. Mike was an artist, craftsman, horseman and avid hunter. A grand morning to Mike was walking the fields, sun at his back, to the shores of Lake Havasnoot with his faithful four-legged companion Sean. We miss you! Interment service on Friday, October 10, 2008, 10:30 a.m., Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois. Arrangements by: Veterans Funeral Service 800-844-0203. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the VFW Foundation at www.vfwfoundation.org, would be greatly appreciated.

What a wonderful treat to have met & played with you at the Double JJ! Warm, humorous, kind, and sociable; a man's man as well as a lady's man. It was a delight to be in your presence. Though you'll be missed here, it's the angels' chance to have your company, now.

I have a tear in my eye, and a smile in my heart, and a Michelob in my hand. We are not here for a long time, but you sure made the most of it having a good time. Thanks.

I will always remember the great times of sitting on the DP bench out in front of the Main Barn telling stories with Ozark and a "few" Michelobs. While we had lost touch you were always a big part of my JJ memories. I am heading to the store after work for a 6 pack of Michelob and toast to the good times that we all had together.

It's for certain that heaven welcomes Michael Patrick Doyle, an Irishman and Marine to guard those sacred streets and enjoy the blessings of his new home.
I never met Mike but we both know what hell must be like from our experiences in Viet Nam.
Semper Fi and may you rest in peace.
