Dear Clancy Family,
My deepest sympathies to each of you. When I was a little girl, a pesky much-younger sister, Mike was my favorite of all Bob and Bill's friends. He was always so nice to me. I can remember him coloring with me in my Peanuts coloring book when he came to Michigan with us. I also remember staying home sick from school one day. I had all my Barbies on the living room floor when Mike came in with Bill and Bob. He was going to be nice and play with me. His Barbie did a cheer, complete with splits. Only Barbie's legs didn't bend that way and one cracked off. From the look on his face, he felt worse than I did. It was probably the only time I can remember him without a smile on his face.

May your happy memories of Mike be a comfort to you at this time.

To Nancy and your Children,
Your husband and father was a kind, compassionate and brave man. I feel privileged to have met and worked with him. The love he shared with his family and friends provided him dignity in his passing. Watching and hearing about how your friends and family have rallied around him during this crisis and illness shows the commitment you shared of love for family and community. What a wonderful legacy he leaves you with. His contribution to the cause in treatment of pancreatic cancer will be remembered, always. Our prayers and condolences go out to you at this very sad time.
