A devoted husband and companion of 57 years to Frances Bridget (nee Quinn), loving and gentle father of Kathleen, Michael PFD (Barb), Nora (Jerry), Tom (Therese), Patrick CFD (Mary Pat), Quinn CFD (Karen) and Jack CFD (Cindy), proud grandfather of Maggie, Patrick, Colleen, Quinn, Brooke, Danny, Brenna, Michael, Kaelin, Carra, Katie, Michael, Jonny, Danny, Jack, Hannah, Austin, Connor, James, Ryan, Colin, Megan and Conor, beloved son of the late Michael and Nora Brennan of Co. Sligo, Ireland, dearest brother of the late Mary Murphy, Katherine Fitzgerald, John and James Brennan, an uncle and friend to many. Visitation at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy., Park Ridge, Friday, 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday, 9:15 a.m., to St. Thecla Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
