Mert's friendship and mentorship were so pivotal in my development as a physician, a scientist, and a leader. I will deeply miss our stimulating and provocative chats together. But their impact remains indelible. He was important to all of us. Angela and I send our warmest wishes to Audrey and the rest of Mert's family and wide circle of friends.
