Dear Roberta, I was one of Melvin's lawyers when Arvey Hodes was still "alive". I'll never forget the fun we had in the famous Harrison Arkansas fishing rod plant case. We won and it was all due to Melvin. He was a hell of a witness and a prince of a man. Please accept my sympathy.

Melvin was always an inspiration to me. He would make you laugh while sharing his wisdom. I always enjoyed the time we spent touring stores when he would come in for the Hershey car show. Sorry to hear of the Melvin's passing.I wish I could be there for you. He was a great mentor to me in my 23 years with Maurice. I miss his annual closings at the Maurice national sales meetings. Like his cars he was a classic. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

My father was dear friends of Melvin and his family. My sister and I got the opportunity to meet Melvin a few times, and to share a Thanksgiving with the family.
