Mel Villalobos Obituary
Mel M. Villalobos. Age 88, of Lombard; preceded in death by the love of his life Betty, his brother Jose, and sisters; Charing, Rosie and Josie; he is survived by his children Bhob (Stephen), Mardie (Randy), Roland (Melody), Maru, and Rommel (Jennifer); seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his sisters, Cora (Jose), Kate (August), Mila (Buddy), and Fe (Benny); his second wife Lucy, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, February 19th, 3-8pm at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Rd. (3 blks. S. of Roosevelt Rd.) Lombard. Funeral Saturday, February 20th, 9:30 am from the funeral home to Christ the King, 1501 S. Main Street, Lombard. Mass 10:30 am. Interment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery. All visitors are required to always wear a mask, maintaining social distancing. Due to COVID-19 regulations, food and beverage are not permitted at the visitation. We are deeply saddened to learn about the passing Manong Mel. Please accept our most sincere condolences. May his beautiful memories bring comfort and strength to his loved ones.
I can't help but share my fondest memories of him. Since he lost his eyesight, each time I visited him, he recognized me immediately as soon as he heard my voice and he always enjoyed the food I brought which I specially cooked for him.
