Dear Cousins,
It was so sad to hear of the loss of Uncle Maurice. He was such a kind and witty person. I am sorry that I was unable to attend the services due to my health. I have requested that the Benedictine Monks at Saint David Monastery here in Saint David, Arizona remember Uncle Maurice in their prayers. I remember Uncle Maurice relaying funny stories about you kids back when you lived in Oak Park. We all laughed heartily and he said he should have written a book about your family and all the funny experiences that come with having a large family. He told such great stories. My Dad was telling me the other day that when Uncle Maurice was a child, he had to stay indoors often due to illness, but that he never let that get him down. He has lived lived to the fullest, did many wonderful and selfless things for others, and is a great inspiration to us all, keeping a positive and energetic attitude despite life's difficulties. May his wonderful memory and valuable lessons sustain you in this time of loss. He will be missed, but his memory will live on. God Bless.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.

At a time like this, it may be hard to find the memories you need to help comfort you. But they are there and when you find them, may their love bring you peace. Also Romans 15:4 says "...and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope."

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
