Matthew Bailey Obituary

I'm am deeply saddened for the Bailey family. Know that god is watching over you during these times. I pray for you and Matt always. Class of '98 MCHS

Matt was such a great guy and a wonderful friend to my brother. You are in the thoughts and prayers of the McAuliffe family.

I knew Matt only through his sister Sarah, but I understand the depth of love that his family and friends have for him, and what a great tribute to see so many people at his wake. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Sarah, and the rest of the Bailey family

I didn't know Matt well, but I did spend several thanksgivings with him at the Roth house. My deepest condolences.

I knew Matt through a lot of my cousins like Marnie and Tommy. I also had the privilege of growing up around the block from him and I know how great of a guy he was. I have so many great memories of him at block parties and just hanging out on our block. I looked up to him so much. Sarah, Josh and Mr. and Mrs. Bailey, you are all in my prayers.

It breaks my heart to have a man like Matt Bailey no longer with us. We are all lucky to have known such a genuine individual. My thoughts and prayers are with the Bailey family.

I knew Matt threw friends, but i am the same age as Josh, so sorry to hear of your loss Josh, my prayers go out to you and your family...

My son Tim went to Ireland with Matt and the group several years ago and Matt was a fixture next door with his smiling face always on. As a mother, my heart is broken for the Bailey family and all of the "kids" who enjoyed each others friendships all these years. May all your good memories of Matt repair your broken hearts and change your tears to smiles again. When I see Matt in my mind, he is only smiling, now and forever.

We were so shocked and saddened to hear about Matt. Though it's been years since we've seen you guys, it seems like only yesterday. We've thought of you and the times we shared on Magician Lake often. May all your wonderful, happy memories of Matt help you through this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I personally didn't know Matt, but I know Mrs. Bailey from working with my mom and she is the sweetest lady I have ever met. I just want to apologize to the Bailey family for this tragic loss. Know that there are so many people thinking of you and praying for you during this difficult time. May all of your memories with Matt help ease your pain.

Any return home to the South Side blessed by a run-in with Matt was a special one. Being greeted by that warm smile always made my night. May all of you find comfort in the memories. I feel most fortunate to have known such a sincere person.

Matt was one of my first friends in college at Ball State in Indiana. I had the privelege to live with him my sophomore year in Muncie. I couldn't have had a better friend and roommate to share my experiences with. I played more foos ball with him than anyone ever, we waterskied, golfed, and always made the best of our time together. Matt Bailey will never leave my heavy heart. God bless his parents, brother, and sister and all of his friends and family. Love Ben

Matt was my husband's college roommate. Every memory I have of Matt is full of laughter and fun. He blessed my time at Ball State. Matt's death is truly a loss to everyone who knew him and to those who hadn't met him yet. My prayers are with his family and everyone who cared for him.

Dearest Bailey family, I am so terribly sad to hear about the loss of Matt. He was such a great friend to Mark, I will always remember his trip up here last winter for the Bear/Packer game and how excited he was and how much fun he had. You are in my thoughts and prayers always. katie deprey
