To the Family of Matthew Amato
I am so terribly sad at your great loss. I worked with Jim, Matt and Janis when they were in the Candor Electric building. I just called the company a few weeks ago and spoke to Matt. I will always remember the great times we all had many years ago. My deepest sympathy to your entire family, he will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Camille,
It has been many years since we've been in touch. If you remember me I go way back to the Schwinn Bicycle years. I can still remember when Matt was Ronnie's boss in production planning. I will always remember how good you and Matt were to my family. My deepest sympathy. Donna Esterday

My deepest sympathy and condolences to Matt's family and friends. I met Matt when I was working for Magna Electric. He was always such a happy go lucky guy. It was always fun to talk to him.He always said that I must be ok because I was smart enough to marry an Italian. May your memories of happy times get you through this time of loss and sorrow.

I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Mr. and Mrs. Matthew and Margaret Amato through their son, David. They welcomed me into their home as if I was family. I will never forget the humor, generosity, and love in that family that they all so easily shared with others. Matt Amato was an absolutely delightful person. He will be missed. Special hugs to David and his mother, Margaret. Please know how fondly I've thought about your father/husband over the years. Stay well. I know you have countless happy memories.

My condolences to the entire Amato Family. I came to know Matt and Janice through my time as an employee of one of Matt's competitors, Magna Electric Supply. He was a good person, always ready to joke around and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. I will miss him. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the wake or funeral mass, but I at least wanted to express my sympathy to the family in some way.

Matt was a gentlemen & true friend ever since I can remember while growing up together on Taylor Street. I visited him @ St Joseph Hospital on 5-31 & I tried reminicing with him about the "good old days" when we played ball & pinners in the projects, as well as playing cards on his parents steps. I believe I got a nod of acceptance from him that day. Matt will be missed, but never forgotten. He will save a ball field for his old gang when all of us meet down the road.

Aunt Camille, James, Chris, Matt, David & Jennifer,
I'm writing this in the hope that it brings you some comfort. I don't need to tell you what a wonderful person Uncle Matt was. Anyone who came in contact with him knew that. He touched many people and we all have wonderful memories of him. I hope that you find comfort in your memories. Even in my sorrow those memories make my heart smile because he will always own a piece of it. He brought so much joy to others but it doesn't compare to the joy you brought him. You were his pride and joy. Nothing lit him up more then talking about all of you. You were his greatest accomplishments and part of him will always be with you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

It was very sad to hear about the passing of Uncle Matt. Through all of the family gatherings we attended, Uncle Matt was the life of the party, always joking around with everyone. He always made us feel part of the family. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
