I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to visit my Abuelita at the hospital. When I arrived to see her, I told her who I was and asked her for "La Bendicion". She responded "Dios de Bendiga". I held and rubbed her hand gently during my entire visit. She seemed comforted by my gesture. Upon leaving, I kissed her goodbye and told her that I hope she feels better soon. Little did I know that I would never see her alive again. I cry everytime I think of her because she was such a beautiful part of my life and I miss her very much. But I am happy that she is at peace, no longer suffering, and with God. I know that someday we will meet again. Roberto, Bruce and Marcos also love and miss you.
Farewell my sweet Abuelita, TE QUIERO MUCHO. Tu Nieta, Theresa

A Farewell To Grandma....
Grandma, you have left us,
But still you're in our hearts.
You will always be near us,
Even though we're now apart.
The way you used to smile,
The way you showed us you cared.
All the love that you brought us,
All the kindness that you shared.
Time will never let us forget,
The way you once were,
And you prayed for all of us on your knees,
Our memories will stir.
We will miss the love that you once have given,
But the love will still be there when we meet again,
In Heaven.
When you reached your arms up to God,
We knew it was a sign,
For us to say goodbye for the very last time.
Now we realize you are very happy and content,
And are free from any pain,
Because when you left us on twelve ten,
You looked so peaceful in your sleep.
When we went to say our last respects,
It was hard to understand,
Why God took you away from us,
To go to another land.
But deep in our minds,
We knew you'd finally be in peace,
That you knew the family tree will grow,
And never ever cease.

First, I want to thank everyone for the support they have shown me and my family during this time. It really helps.
Also, want to ask Grandma to watch over my mom, and keep her healthy and strong. I want to keep her until she is 96 too.
Love you Grandma.

I was a classmate Of Pete's at Quigley South. I lost my Dad in 1994 when he was only fifty years old. Knowing first hand the emotions that are felt when losing someone close, my family and I share in your grief. May the good Lord continue to bless the Pabon and Rodrigues families.

I miss my Abuelita. Just sitting here typing this is making my eyes watery, but I know she is in a better place, looking down on all of us. A friend of mine sent this to me to comfort me, and I wanted to share it:
"God says about my abuelita, "I gave you one of my most precious angels for 96 years so you could enjoy in the beauty of her existence. But now I miss my angel so much that it is time she comes back to me to keep me company."
I love you Grandma.

Mother, (I always called you mother, abuelita)
You raised me for 13 years, to which I paid you back (as lovingly as I could) by taking care of you whenever possible, so mom could have a vacation, or day off...(she needed the rest) ..I was happy to do it...we should always give back something, for what we receive. YOu are at peace, you are with the Lord, you are back home where you wanted for a while to go back to...you were very ready for that departure, it may hurt us, and we may miss you, but you are at peace, you can see us all now from heaven, you can watch our parents, and relatives from up there, just as you prayed for us all those mornings and nights when you were stronger and younger. You were a great inspiration to all of us, who cannot endure a little pain...you were a great example of that at least to me...I will always keep you close to my heart, mother, it is not goodbye, it is "will see you later, mother."

Abuelita:
Thank you for your enduring, quiet strength- which allowed me, my children and the rest of the Rodriguez family to know you, love you, and care for you, as well as be cared for by you.
