MARYANN LOYA Obituary

Loya, MaryAnn (Flynn), passed away June 12, 2012. Born May 14, 1941 in Los Angeles, CA. She was the third child of nine born to William Flynn and Loretto Krekeler. Preceded in death by her parents and oldest brother Dennis. She is survived by her daughter, Aurora Michelle; her siblings, James, Rosemarie Lardie (Doug), Rita Connors (Tim), Kathleen Flynn-Powers, Michael, Irene Flynn-Adams (Chris Gerold); Martha Flynn, 10 nieces, 8 nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews and many friends and acquaintances. MaryAnn was a loving, sweet, patriotic person who always had a kind word for anyone she met. Her love of children and animals was reflected in her work as a pre-school assistant, church nursery worker and volunteer "baby cuddler" at UC Irvine Hospital and volunteer at the Irvine Animal Shelter. MaryAnn also volunteered at St Joseph's church "Loaves & Fishes" program for the Needy, as well as working with the USO and Veterans at Long Beach Veteran's Hospital. Funeral Mass will be held at St Cecilia's Catholic Church in Tustin, June 30 at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Breast Cancer Angels (breastcancerangels.org) in MaryAnn's name.

I worked for ACCESS for many years, which provided transportation to and from many of her activities. I was saddened to read about her passing. I am certain that God has wrapped her in his arms and taken her home. My condolences also to her family!!
