Pat was a wonderful neighbor and so giving and caring. She was so helpful when my son was born having some health issue. She was a wonderful guide to his care. I appreciated her very much. Now I have the pleasure of watching her granddaughters grow. Blessings to her family

Pat was my college roommate and good friend. She was just as kind and loving back then as others describe her adult life. I just re-read her Christmas letter and thought I'd better see what was happening...I guess I had an inkling. May memories of her bring you peace..and a smile to your lips.

If ever there was a person who could truly say that their life made a difference, it's Pat. She was a part of our family's life for more than thirty years and we are much the better for it. She raised my daughter for the first critical years of her life, and saved mine in the process. Her loving guidance, treating my Annie as her own, gave her the start in life that's made her a success, as she did for her own wonderful five children. Every interaction with Pat was a good one! She cared so much about her family, her church, her community and her friends and she left her positive stamp on all those constituencies. I don't think I will ever know a more giving person than Pat. There never seemed to be a time when she wasn't passionately involved in one good deed or another, supporting one or another cause that she cared about. Resting was never on her calendar. She was and always will be "Aunt Pat" in our minds and we will hold her close to our hearts forever.

Pat did so much for so many--life and sweetness in very literal ways, bringing all those babies into the world, baking all those cakes (especially the amazing wedding cakes) and making things people needed. Where will anyone go for such practical advice in crises? For such loyalty and tenacity? For such chocolate chip cookies baked for so many teenage boys? (And for our mother, and for other wanderers through the hospitable house Pat and Art kept). As she did for so many other people, when I had a crisis, Pat dropped everything and came; while I had my cancer surgery, she stayed at my bedside and made sure everything was done right. Then she went to my house, raked my leaves, sewed new curtains, and altered a nightgown to fit my new needs. She went the extra mile or ten for everybody. Eternal rest be unto you--except, being Pat, I don't know that you'll rest. At the Marriage Feast of the Lamb, she'll bake the cakes. Glory to God for giving Pat to us--would that He had given her to us for longer.

Eternal Rest Grant unto Mary Pat and may the Perpeutal Light shine upon her.. We are College of St. Teresa classmates. She was always willing to help even from afar. She helped my daughter with nursing her babies long distance. We are forever grateful. May God give her family comfort and peace. Ginny Kansas

To all of Pat's family, I would like to send my condolences. I knew her as Mary Pat as we were fellow nursing students in Minnesota. I will always remember her big smile and the joy that she always showed with patients and with all of her fellow students. I will keep you in my prayers as you adjust to this change in your lives.

If there was a religious order called, "People Of God Who Get Things Done" Pat would have been a charter member. She was a pusher in the best of senses, pushing herself (most of all) and others to do the right things and to get the right things done. We are all blessed to have learned from her example.

Art, you and Pat were always such wonderful neighbors. Always supporting my kids' latest fundraising effort for scouts! Pat was such a blessing to me when Scott was born and faced early challenges. Her guidance eased his discomfort and calmed me. I enjoyed Pat very much and will miss her greatly. Blessings to you and the kids. Fondly, Dianne Magiera
