I just heard the news of Sr. Kathleen´s death. I am so sad. I learned to play guitar and played with Kathleen at Mass and Kingdom Retreats. She was a wonderful friend to my family and she became an integral part of all our family events. I know she is singing and playing guitar for our Lord and the angels are rejoicing in her loving spirit. Sweet rest my friend.

Sister Kathleen & I became friends when my kids were in St. Hubert's School.
She was there for me when my husband was diagnosed with cancer, & helped me through when he passed away. We became very close friends, & shared many happy times.
I will never forget her.
My parents are buried at the same cemetery as Kathleen, so I will visit her often.
Rest in God's peace my friend, until we meet again.

My 5th grade teacher Sister Mary Kathleen was sweet as pie. She made a real impression on me when she told the class, "see this kid here? he says and does some goofy things all the time but always learns from how I correct him and doesn't make the same mistake twice. He never stays mad after I scold him. Learn from that!" She loved the Cubs, we managed to go to a couple games together (she wouldnt buy me a beer tho) I got to introduce her to Ernie Banks once and Ron Santo several times. We stayed in touch up until covid which made it impossible at her age to get together and from there her health failed. Now she is gone, but never forgotten, from my heart. She liked to call me Schroeder after the Peanuts gang piano player (must've been the hair) If you have a Sister Kathleen in your life, give her a call and tell her THANKS. I am happy I got to explain how much she was appreciated by all of us kids many times. God Bless her (I know he/she will)

May God grant dear Kathleen eternal peace in the company of her family and the saints.
I met Sr. Kathleen back in 2001 through a priest friend. I often addressed her as Sr. Mary Claudette and she would laugh. I told her that her name sounded as though she was from royalty. She shared many books and educational materials as I ministered as a liturgist. Our visits to her at Our Lady of Creek Bend were a blessing. She celebrated with our family and friends when I graduated from CTU, as we had great memories of that fine institution. I was honored to have sung for her anniversary Mass, as well.
I briefly spoke with her about two weeks ago as she told me that it was so difficult to talk. I am so sorry that that was the last time we spoke.
I am truly blessed to have been touch by Kathleen's spirit of love, laughter and kindness to me through the years.
My promise of prayers for Kathleen as well as her family in the days and years ahead.
Thank you, Dear Claudette, for your love, kindness and many memories through the years. Thank you for the gift of your love and support to all whom you encountered.
Continue to watch over all of your family and friends whom were so blessed to have been a part of your life!

Sister Kathleen was truly a gift to us from God. A true friend with great love. She and sister Clarine together where a real hoot. We met so many of her Felician sister friends thru the years. About a half a year ago our frequent phone calls ended. I was worried about her but knew the great faith she was gifted with and the kindness she spread. I am sure she is with Jesus now and is in true peace. Like all good friends she will always be in our hearts. She truly always tried to be a loving person. Look at her pictures. She has a great smile and you could see her good soul. Thank you Sister Kathleen for being a great friend and mentor to the Litgen Family. Your friend George Litgen Sr. Ps I never could figure out why a Cub fan. She and Clarine both got to see them finally win the World Series!

Was always so proud to call her my cousin. She truly was my angel with the death of our son Michael. She rallied around our family during such a tragic time. I have fond memories of her smile and her upbeat personality. Rest in peace , Pat and Mike Schuck.

There is a new bright star shining in the night sky.
Claudette, Sister Mary Kathleen.
Our families, the LaPlumes and the Corcoran´s met 75 years ago and we all grew up together, enjoying a life long friendship. Miles later would separated us, but Claudette and I maintained our friendship thru letters and later text messages.
We shared an idyllic childhood and always knew how fortunate we were to have caring parents, and siblings!
Days spent playing outdoors, riding bikes, pretending we were pioneers, cowgirls and exploring all the empty acres in our neighborhood, and hours in the big barn in the back of their home on Touhy
Ave.
Many Luxembourg picnics, and fun holidays.
We send our sympathy to Germaine and family!
Love and prayers,
Mary Kay and Don Szafranski

I remember Sister Kathleen from my time at St. Hubert in Hoffman Estates way back in the day. She was the librarian when I was in kindergarten. My parents somehow became really good friends with her. She's actually the Godmother to one of my siblings. I remember her year after year stopping by our house on holidays on her way home to Creek Bend in St. Charles. I'll always have fond memories. I know she is now in heaven after serving faithfully for over 66 years. May she rest in peace.

Well it was 30 plus years ago we met, Creek Bend retreat house. Many wonderful memories with all the Sisters that lived there. Best was Sister Kathleen would drive the golf cart over to our house to say hi and check in. Thank you for all your prayers.

Sister Kathleen was always a very welcoming and caring person when you visited the motherhouse. She was kind and always grateful for any assistance given when needed. She was a friend indeed to those who knew her. I will miss her smile and gentle manner.
