Mary Kunes Obituary

Kunes, Mary Vail beloved wife of Walter (Bob) Kunes, loving mother of Cindy, Becky, Ken, Trish and Tina; cherished grandma of Maureen, Allison, Mike, Jill, Dane, Lindsey, Shelby, Sidney, and Martina; proud great-grandma of Owen; and dear friend to so many. Died on Friday, September 7, 2007. Mary was born in Rochester, Minnesota. She spent her adult life in Indiana and the Chicago suburbs. In addition to her role as mother and homemaker, Mary devoted herself by profession to the teaching of handicapped children. After she retired from teaching, she volunteered with hospice for several years. Visitation Sunday, from 2 to 7 p.m. followed by a memorial service at John Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 7020 W. 127th St., Palos Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Carle Hospice at (217) 383-3021 or online http://www.carle.com/Development/MakeGift/Giving.asp.
