Jim, My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Everytime I look at my son I remember Mary because she gave me a book to keep records and memories of my son. And I did just that. Her idea keeps a smile on my face. She was a perfectionist and always on time. That use to drive me crazy. Even for the delivery of my son he was suppose to come on a certain date and of course Mary was there but my son was late, so we just laughed and talked as friends not boss to employee. From that moment I knew Mary was special, warm and gracious. Time went by that we didn't talk but never forgotten thoughts. I miss you because I can't reach out and touch you if I wanted to. You would say when we did talk "Come over anytime its okay" They say you never miss water until the well runs dry. I know you are in a glorious place smiling over us. Jim Mary was a precious jewel hold on to that and smile away your tears. God Bless You.

I have stared at this page a good long while and can't seem to find the words to express what I feel in my heart right now. Mary Kay has always been special to me and I am now just finding out how she touched the hearts of most everyone she met. All I can manage to say is that all my love and prayers are going out to my Aunt Kathryn, my cousins - Jane, John, Rob, Bernie, and Dan, and to Jim and Tim. God bless you all.

Dear Tim and family, I met Mary when she first started with the County and I worked for the Forest Preserve. Through the years we worked on various projects together and became friends as well as work associates. I am saddened at her passing and will remember her fondly. My condolences to you and your family. Joseph N. Nevius; former General Superintendent of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County

Mary,
You changed my life in so many special ways. Kevin and I always knew what a special stepmom we had. We were blessed beyond words. As I told you in the last few weeks, from the minute I first met you, 'you got me'. I will carry you with me in my heart for the rest of my life and try to honor your memory as best as I possibly can. Until we meet again, your loving stepson, Tim.
