To the Fleming Children:
Just a brief note to express my sorrow on your Mother's passing. My sister, Kay, called to let me know. Regardless of their age, it is always difficult to lose a parent.
Mary Agnes and Wally were great people and tremendous friends to my parents. My folks were lucky to have them as neighbors. They both will be missed but remembered.

Dear Kathy and Family,
I was so sad to hear about your
Mom's passing.
I know she will be missed.
When we were at Longwood, we used
to compare our Mom's a lot.
I tried to call Kay yesterday, but
I wasn't able to reach her.
We are adjusting to the Texas way
of life, but I would rather be
back in the Good Old Midwest.
