Sister Mary Kenneth Michael was my seventh grade teacher at St.Pius V Grade School in Chicago. She was a tomboy nun. She could hit a 16" softball and catch fly balls while dressed in her habit. She was a wonderful teacher whose concern for her students was evident every day. One of my regrets in life was not being able to tell her and the other sisters of the BVM how important they were in my life, how they helped mold me and helped me become the person I am.

Mary Therese, may a gentle God welcome you with open arms. You were special in my life and my grateful heart will never forget your caring love. May this same God be with all of us who rejoice in your "homecoming."
