Dear Lori and family,
Your wonderful mother was my second mom for many years growing up in Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Chicago. Lynn and I, best friends, were either there at 4433 or at my house at 4533 N. Monticello. We loved her cooking! I remember one day Lynn and I were out riding our bikes and got caught in the rain and ran up to her house. Mary opened the door and told us we looked like drowned rats, to come in and have some hot chocolate and fresh baked cookies. I also remember her lamb cakes at Easter. Representing our Jesus, the Lamb of God, she had those cakes scattered all over the Kitchen waiting for some lucky person to have. I now make those lambs every Easter, one for us and one for someone else always remembering and imitating Mary's generosity. She was a kind and caring person and I will always remember her with love in my heart. It is hard to lose a mother but we know she is in the arms of Jesus and His Blessed Mother praying for us still here on earth. Eternal Rest grant unto her Oh Lord!
Loving you always,
Rosemary Alicoate Kondritz
