Rea-Marshall, Mary Ann

Mary Ann Rea-Marshall (nee Walters), 69, passed away Feb. 3, 2021 in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Born Dec. 26, 1951, in Chicago, Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret Walters. Preceded in death by her son Steven in addition to her husband, Dick, she is survived by her son James (Jacqueline) Rea, and daughter Pamela Rea, along with four grandchildren she loved dearly in Molly Rea, Liam and Kiera Bertram, and Tristen Diemer. Also surviving are her brother Michael (Patricia) Walters and sisters Kathy (Edward) Behen, Janet (Dennis) Weston and Josephine Beazley. She moved to Arizona to escape Midwest winters, continuing her 30-plus year nursing career at various hospitals in the Phoenix area before relocating to Lake Havasu. While raising her children, she earned her nursing degree from College of St. Francis and later completed her master's degree in hospital administration. The recent retiree loved to travel. She visited four continents and spent summers crisscrossing the country visiting friends and family. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. June 11 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, Ill. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
