To the Maher Family;

I am so sorry for your loss and want you to know that I will truly miss your dad. We all enjoyed working with him at Wright College and loved listening to his wonderful career on the police department. I'm glad I knew him.

My sincerest sympathy,

Hi Mary Beth, Mike, Marty...God Bless you all on the loss of your father. God needed a couple more good Cops and he got one in your dad. I will remember this Thanksgiving and the stories he told me about him and my grandfather ...also his WWII service. He was a member of the greatest generation. Take care and I will see you all in days to come.

I remember being assigned to my first assignment in the old 014 district, Shakespeare,and assigned under your watch. I learned alot with your guidance and I became a better Officer under your ever watchful eye. I thank you for that! It was once said of you Marty, that, because of your excellence in writting paper, for the lowly beat cop that you could take a smoking gun incident and have the guy get the LAMBERT TREE AWARD...you have been miss since retirement and you will be missed forever. I was fortunate to have known you, and better in this life because of you. Thanks for everthing Sarge!! #13528

Dear Mary Beth and Tony and Lisa, Julie, Kelly and Tony (A.J.), and to Marty and Michael. There are so many memories of your dear father. Mary Beth you were the best care-giver and daughter to both of your parents. Your brother Marty gave you a lot of moral support. It is just a little over a year since your mother's death. I just know your dad is up there talking "cop talk" with his old partners, one of them, my father, Tony Osterkorn and your late father-in-law Tom Ahlfeld and many other police officers. God bless you all. Fondly,
