Hello Deb, Angela & Leo,
By now, you know well as we think of hard working Mark with a smile. Why so, this is confimation and aknowledgement of his everlasting greeting of a smile and laughter. Mark is still here, his spirit fills us all cutting through the neighborhood on the way to the airport ..... he lives in all of us and for certian in you, Angela & Leo........ the spitting image of his father as a 2nd generation firemen of my sonic "Brother in Arms". Let’s enjoy this one Mark. Likely one of the best laid audiophile recordings ever. The best for the best in all done in this life including being a family man and best friend.

Hello Deb, Angela & Leo
Leo answered my call today time has flown & so has Mark. As I asked for Mark today there was expectation that Leo would call for Mark. In awe he informed me of Marks passing. Mark & I had audio, conversation, opinions, music & immense amounts of time that we spent together in the fire house. We will miss that. Since I left the job our contact was greatly reduced. Work and it's challenges with family took precedent. Mark Matera without doubt In my life time is one of the greatest human beings I have known in my life. That shall forever stand, friends of such depth, diplomatic texture are not encountered often. I do believe that GOD has loaned us a few like Mark for HIS purpose and reason that we clealry know the difference. Mark was a star extremely bright. He has left an indelible Mark on all of our hearts shinning bright a man of modest means, great character standing for that which is just & right, more than that Mark was a great friend. Mark you are missed my friend as you well now know. I apologize for missing that promised lunch or opportunity to just stop by. Real friends in this life, there are not many therefore those you have are treasured. My treasured friendship is only misplaced, reclamation shall come again! Deb, Angela and Leo are great reflection of the friend Mark was and a better world left behind. These are all fact, not fiction. I am eye witness to Mark Materra making the world a better place. 3-3-5 n/ with & thru GOD himself RIP my friend & brother n arms!
