Sims, Marjorie E. Passed on June 22, 2011 at Advocate Christ Hospital. She will be funeralized at her church; St. Mark United Methodist on July 6, 2011 at 11:00a.m. The prepast breakfast and wake will start at 10:00a.m. St. Mark United Methodist Church is located at 8441 South St. Lawrence, Chicago, IL., 60619. Marjorie ("Margie") and her deceased husband Melvin Sims Sr., owned several business on Chicago's southside. However, they were best known for their Jazz Club "The Kitty Kat Klub" at 611 East 63rd Street (1952-1966). "The Kitty Kat Klub" provided a venue for local Jazz artists such as Ahmad Jamal, John Young, Prince Cooper, Lorez Alexander and many others.
