Alexander Stanley Joseph Wells, age 36, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026 at his home. He was born on February 4, 1990 in Hinsdale, IL. Alex is survived by his loving parents, Victoria "Vickie" (David Rubis) Sheptick of Naperville, and Brian (Mary) Wells of Aurora; his siblings, Eric Wells and Grace Wells; his maternal grandmother, Rosalie Sheptick; his aunts, Cindy (Dennis) Erickson, Bonnie Falkowski, Sheri (Rick) Hodd, Nancy Gard (his Godmother); his great-aunts, Theresa Karpowicz and Annette Heck; as well as numerous cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Stanley Sheptick, and paternal grandparents, Ralph and Clarice Wells. Alex grew up in Naperville and was a proud graduate of Naperville North High School, Class of 2008. During his school years, Alex's adventurous spirit was evident in everything he did. An avid skateboarder, subdivision baseball and soccer player, and talented drummer, he found joy both in the rhythm of music and the thrill of the ride. He loved spending time outdoors, whether riding his ATV or dirt bike, always chasing the next adventure. Alex had a passion for fast cars and anything powered by a HEMI engine, appreciating the power and craftsmanship behind every roar of the motor. After high school, he began his career as an insurance adjuster with Great Lakes Insurance. Above all, Alex will be remembered for his kind heart. He was a loving son and brother, and a loyal friend to all who knew him. His warmth, laughter, and adventurous soul will be deeply missed but forever cherished by those whose lives he touched. For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Alex's life, memorial donations may be directed to The Mustard Seed. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 4:00-8:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 11, 11:00 AM at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1450 Green Trails Dr., Naperville. Interment will follow at Naperville Cemetery.
