Bob, her brother, and I loved her very much and admired her so for her many beautiful qualities. Her warmth and generosity, her kindness to so many others, her loving support of her family, her unwarranted humil- ity, her gusto for life, people, food, cooking, art, travel, her positive attitude in the face of that damned voracious lymphoma; all these were just a few of Marilyn's lovely qualities. We don't mean to say she was a saint, but she had such special qualities that hundreds of people, including us, are grieving over her loss of life and our loss of her...Our hearts are breaking for her husband and children.
